Use Jerome carefully and lawfully.
1. Account and access
You must provide accurate account and billing information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
2. Personal scholarly use
Jerome is for reading, research, teaching, and other lawful use. Unless Jerome explicitly grants it, you may not resell access, redistribute paid features, or run Jerome as a commercial service for third parties.
3. Prohibited conduct
- No scraping, bulk extraction, or automated harvesting beyond normal product use.
- No bypassing quotas, access controls, or payment controls.
- No credential sharing intended to evade plan limits.
- No unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or security-harming use.
4. Content rights
Jerome owns or licenses the product, interface, annotations, indexes, and related software. Source texts, translations, and metadata may have their own rights status. Your use must respect those underlying rights.
5. Paid plans
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. If you cancel, access continues until the end of the paid period unless the account is suspended for fraud, abuse, chargeback, or legal reasons.
6. Suspension and changes
Jerome may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, fraud, abuse, security risk, or legal compulsion. We may also change features, quotas, or plan structure as the product evolves.
7. Service quality
We aim for reliability, but Jerome is provided on an as-available basis. Scholarly tools, search, OCR-derived material, AI-assisted features, and annotations can contain errors and should be checked before high-stakes use.
